Turnwell Kitchens was founded by Andy Barwell and Paul Turner, two people who have spent their careers in the kitchen industry — more than thirty years between them — and who previously owned and ran four Kutchenhaus showrooms. They know exactly how the national brands design, plan and manufacture a kitchen, because they did it for years.

When they set Turnwell up, they kept the parts of that world worth keeping — the CAD-led design discipline, the manufacturing standards, the precision — and left behind the parts that never served the customer. The result is a traditional kitchen specialist that feels like a local firm but works to a big-brand standard: shaker and in-frame kitchens, hand-made to order across three cabinet tiers, in FSC-certified timber.

Incorporated in 2023 and trading from 2024, Turnwell now runs showrooms in Chichester, Romsey, Petersfield and Whiteley, with its own design team and its own in-house fitters. In its first years it was named a KBB Focus 25 Finalist for Retailer of the Year — and what clients write about most is the design: designers who listened, improved on the brief, and cracked a layout that five other companies couldn't.
